LCMHC-A, MEd.

Greetings, I’m Katie. I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mental health is my passion, and it is a gift to support people through a path of self-discovery and healing.

I use an eclectic approach to meeting everyone in their own journey. My skill set includes traditional psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, and art therapy.

Kindness and understanding characterize my approach. I meet clients where they are in their life journey through talk therapy, humor, and drawing (Zentangle®).

I currently see teens (11+), couples, adults, and families.

With my background in education, systems are relevant in my work with individuals and families. I have an anti-oppression lens, and I believe that critiquing the systems we live in is an integral step toward providing culturally-competent therapy. I am affirming of all LGBTQIA+ clients and families of all makes and models.

In addition to helping others, I love to visit Wrightsville Beach with my two children and spouse. Biking and running are activities that help me feel connected to myself and others. I use poetry and quotes to provide comfort and joy throughout my own life journey.
